The debriefs after my first two ultras gave me smart, concrete guidance for future races — for example, how to handle aid stations and keep eating once I already had 50 km behind me. With Laakso, I plan and practise my fueling much more systematically than before.
Laakso helped me structure my training blocks and get the final weeks before races right, without overloading myself as I had often done before. The very best feature was planning energy intake and hydration for long runs and races. Planning my drop bags and other packing also gave me peace of mind that everything for the race had been thought through.
The race analytics are genuinely useful. The same information exists elsewhere, but here it’s all easily available in one place. Reviewing the race made me reflect on the lessons and experiences — it’s a practice I want to continue.
The most important tool for planning my training lately has been Laakso’s AI. It has helped me understand my training and my body much better. Laakso’s metrics—decoupling, EF, cardiac drift, and weekly and long-term elevation gain—tell me a lot about how my training is affecting me.
